CLARK SUSTAINABLE RESOURCE DEVELOPMENTS ENGAGES SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER

Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Canada; Ghana, Africa, January 14, 2008 – Clark Sustainable Resource Developments Ltd. (CSR Developments), an international developer of sustainable tropical hardwoods, has engaged Romeo Adomah-Darteh as sustainability manager for the company’s Ghana operations on the Volta Lake. Adomah-Darteh brings to the company more than 10 years’ experience in environmental management, programme planning and community development at the management level.

Until his appointment by CSR Developments, Adomah-Darteh was the programme coordinator and environmental specialist for TechnoServe, Ghana. Adomah-Darteh was formerly programme officer in the Environmental Assessment and Audit Department of the Environmental Protection Agency, a position he held for three years. Adomah-Darteh also served as the business development officer of Filobak International Ltd, a private business with international affiliations.

“As CSR Developments moves towards commercial harvesting of the submerged timber on the Volta Lake, it is essential the company closely understands the environmental impact of this project, alongside the social and economic effects,” said Wayne Dunn, CEO and co-founder of CSR Developments. “Having Romeo on the ground in Ghana to directly manage one of the most important aspects of this endeavour is extremely valuable, and we could not be more pleased to have him join us at this exciting and critical time.”

As sustainability manager for CSR Developments, Adomah-Darteh will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s sustainability program in Ghana, which includes growing environmental and community initiatives in tandem with the company’s overall triple bottom line initiatives. The engagement of Adomah-Darteh reflects the company’s commitment to outstanding environmental and social performance.
